My girlfriend bought an 8 Gig iPod Nano yesterday and she's already decided to sell it on eBay. To be honest, I don't blame her:
The click wheel is too small, hypersensitive, clumsy and little more than a fidgety gimmick. Why are Apple trying to reinvent the button?
The storage method for music is made deliberately cryptic in order to try and force you to use iTunes, which runs in the background like spyware, disables Musicmatch without asking you, etc.
You can't set up playlists using just the iPod, you have to plug it into a PC to create a new one if you fancy listening to a new list of songs.
She can't plug it into the USB port on our hi-fi to play her music through the speakers, it doesn't reconise the songs, whereas her old cheap Aigo mp3 player would play fine. This BIG disadvantage is a result of the complex storage method, deliberately orchestrated by Apple to force you into buying an expensive iPod docking bay for your hi-fi.
It froze the second time she connected it to the PC and we had to search the net for a method of rebooting it.
She offered to give it to me, but my PSP with 8 Gig mem stick is probably a better MP3 player, so it's going on eBay if anyone wants it.

Ipods are overpriced and overrated. I haven't even had my ipod that long and I've done nothing but take great care of it, and this gray shit is all over the screen and I can't even watch any videos or look at any of my pictures! WTF is the point of buying a video ipod without being able to see the damn videos?!!!!! If i just wanted to listen to music I wouldn't have paid the frickin rediculous price to get a frickin VIlDEO IPOD!!!!!
I even took it to the Apple store, and they said that if I wanted to get it fixed, then it would be $250!!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!!!!!!!!! I buy your piece of shit, treat it with care, and when it's broken I have to pay the price for practically another Ipod so you guys can fix what you screwed up in the first place?!!!!!!
Oh, and by the way, it won't let me download any new music either!!!!
So in conclusion, I hope that Apple goes out of business, every single Apple worker loses their job (even you, Steve Jobs, you asshole), and then sees what it's like to try to get your frickin ipod fixed when you CAN'T just get a new one, and then you'll see the worthless peice of shit that you've tricked everyone into buying in the first place!!!! I hate the IPOD nano that my daughter just bought subsidised (by me) of course. I want to have full control over files I legally own. Nobody realises that apple are trying to stitch us up. I want to drag and drop files into the Nano just like I can with my fantastic Creative Zen. Apple have decreed that we are not allowed to explore our device which we own and so have made Itunes rename the files so we cannot tell what they are without examining the ID tags. Most dont know what this means although I am sure you readers do. I still haven'y found out where they hide the video files yet. The only things that redeem it are coverflow and the accelerometer. After that it is very poor. When will you all wake up and smell the proverbial roses. Apple have succesfiully cornered the market and suckered you all sorry I meant we all. Get some other device spend a little time to get to know it. Realise that Itunes will make you run several programs that connect to the internet before you are allowed to connect your nano or other ipod to it. Stop posting gratuitous swearing and comments like its crap etc cos it devalues your rant. There are really important reasons why ipods are substandard they are right there in front of you. Apple think your ignorance is their income stream..... no really! it is and they have made millions from your ignorance.

oh apple how i hate you so. The supposedly one thing that you are good at, and somehow, you still manage to fuck it up. Not only did my ipod sponatneously wipe itself of all information, it now refuses to sync with my itunes and has decided to cause itunes to freeze when connected and crash my laptop with our good old friend, blue screen of death.

i cannot believe what a piece of shit ipod nano is. i deleted music from itunes to free disk space on my pc and guess what, when i wanted to put new music in ipod, it deleted everything else because it synchronize it with itunes library!!! who the fuck came with such a stupid idea. and of course you cannot put music back from your ipod to itunes.
i never thought that i will hate a thing so much. and i hate all the people who made ipod software!! die!!!
